Re: Is it worse than Clinton's harmful grandstanding?

First of all, it is unfair to call Clinton's efforts to forge peace in the Middle East "grandstanding." The man sincerely tried his best to bring the two sides together and actually had the sides very close to a final agreement. The last stumbling block, Jeruselem, turned out to be the one which unraveled the entire process and brought the sides all the way back to square one. Clinton failed, but at least he tried. And he tried harder than any other US President including Carter.

Second, Bush has a very limited time to act. Right now is no the time for the excessive caution Bush is showing. The situation is a powder keg that could ruin over twenty years of peacemaking efforts.
