Of course, the "subsidy" premise was a lie to begin with. The oil industry simply exploits tax laws and deduction rules that are available in one form or another to every business.

I run across crap like this when I'm doing my Schedule C, but I don't have the kind of business that uses most of them. I could support simplification and rolling back some of the complex tax crap we have now, but it should apply to ALL businesses.
The current demonization of Big Oil (and the private sector in general) is a standard Democratic political ploy. People should be smart enough to see that by now.
