I hope we choose carefully. It is my undersatnding that the Afgans have never been defeated in spite of being outmatched by many invaders. They are reputed to be fierce mountain fighters and I would not expect the mass surrenders that we have become accustomed to from Iraq and other Arab countries that have had their ass kicked by the Israelis.

I have no fear of the Afgans. We can and will win but we must use our tech and choose our battle fields carefully to avoid the fate of the Russians and the British.

If we start rooting them out of caves I believe it will be grizzley mop up work after they have been sufficiently starved and are about out of bullets.
