It's interesting,

Everyday as I stir my English tea with that silver spoon and adjust my handkerchief with my non-calloused hands, I give thanks to the 'powers that be' that have kept Gore and his team from being in office during these crucial historic moments.

Then as I sit in my elitist, post-modernism designed office, thinking up more ways to deal with the the flow of current events, I save a few moments to ponder the weak links in our armor. My desk is a tribute to capitalism, A Dazor, tank like, US made lamp from the Eisenhower administration sits next to an engraved Parker Pen.

After writing for a long while, I check the current events BBS at Habitablezone, and read the above post.
My elitist , imperialistic, nature forces me to laugh aloud.

I get up from a chair which several top notch cows sacrificed their skins for, and walk over to the picture window seeing a beautiful sunset only the magnificent desert provides. Such incredible beauty - yet so unforgiving.

I think how the Diamondbacks. kicked NY's tail in game one of the series here last night. I thought how being in the desert, in one of the most inhospitable zones of this planet forges men, soldiers, and yes even baseball players.

I look at the way the purple hued sunlight makes the tall white bookshelves look like pillars - and I return to my seat and write this post.

Hmmmm. There is nothing I can say which will achieve any changes...so I might as well be just as irrelevant.
