Current Events » in reply to Gore DID Win the Election

Maybe this will sound clearer in hindsight:

bush won 51 of floridas 67 counties, of the 16 gore won, he contested the most populated four. the logic was simple: With any county there is normally a number of votes that the machine cannot determine one way or another. He requested a recount of 25% of the couties that voted for him by number and over 25% by population. Statistically, it woudl make sense that by only recounting the votes in there counties the questionable votes would be claered up under human examination and would overtake Bushes margine. -This was the strategy, now explain to me how this is in any way fair?

To recount the questionable ballots on one persosn districts more than the others?!
Gors lawyers filed for the refount hours before the deadline, ensuring bushes lawyers could not counter with the same for their territorry, then gore had the gaul later to say, after he saw the recount in his districts were not goin well, "OK, I'll agree to a statewide recount", which was not in anyway his power to do even if both were in agreement.

Lastly this report is the THIRD recount after the bush has been sworn in. Both former ones validated Bush, and one of those was a statewide recount.

furthermore, for what buck brings up, reform party registration in that district validated the number of votes for Pat Buchanan, and leaders like Jesse Jackson made widepread accusations that were later proven false such as widespread african american votes being invalidated (remember I took part in the election counting my first time voting, and it is absurd to me that a group like I was in could have had a vast conspiracy to "invalidate votes").
