This is a British subject in Washington writing for a British paper, whose story is published in an Australian paper. A "democratic" nation still having difficulty shaking off it's own imperialism is going to reveal the true outcome of an electoral system they hardly understand. (Brits can be such children.)
In the real world, there remains a boy in England with aspirations of one day becoming king of a democracy, while the rest of the royal family goes about doing absolutely nothing worth while and eventually ending up on the tabloid covers.
And speaking of tabloids, "I heard he heard them saying they found someone who knows" is not admissible to any court -- other than one run by the Taliban -- as evidence for anything. It's a tip. It's a hunch. Until the facts are in, it's crock.
