This is very simple. People who are willing to contribute to the well-being of those around them are interested in community.
If that means paying more taxes, that means paying more taxes. That means that people who manipulate the financial system while producing nothing should earn LESS than a janitor.
I'm both a communal altruist and a rugged individualist. I can take care of myself, I think, pretty well, and I contribute about 30 hours a week of my time for the benefit of others. And I find that to be a privilege.
As long as one citizen of the US is without health insurance, George Romney is not worth $22 million a year. Not worth $2 million. And Republicans are running him for President. It's an insult.
