<And, I believe you are completely in error. Florida went to Gore. If his brother hadn't been Governor it would have gone to Gore. In a government "of the people, for the people and by the people" the Democrats won.

See what I have to deal with? After all the votes were recounted by people like the New York Times, which would have given its right nut to be able to prove Gore got more votes, the results showed Bush the winner. This solid fact, like so many others, bounces off a liberal's skull like a ping pong ball off the face of El Capitan.

Just out of curiosity, what amazing facts do you have that the Times apparently missed? Most liberals have satisfied themselves with the somewhat nebulous statement that more people went to the polls "intending" to vote for Gore than Bush. If that floats your boat, fine. I could come back with the similarly nebulous statement that if everyone in the U.S. was fully educated about the socialist goals of the Democratic Party, they would never win an election again. This and a quarter gets you a piece of gum.

If you want to know what really lost the election for Gore, it was probably a programming error.

Every election, "condo commandos," shock troops for the Democratic Party, roll into homes for the elderly and other such places, and decant the inhabitants for what the Democrats consider their major role: voting to keep Democrats in power. The less self-aware, the better. These elderly are hauled to the voting booths, handed a palm card telling them how to vote, and hauled back into storage until the next election. The ideal Democratic voter.

Unfortunately, there was apparently a printing mistake in one of these "palm cards," along with other similar errors in Democratic instructions to voters, and thousands of people dutifully obeyed their programming and punched the wrong tab.

Garbage in, garbage out.
