<Consumer groups left out, documents show
Surprise, surprise!!!
But then again, consumer groups and environmentalists don’t produce any energy.
But then again, this is about policy, not just production.
But then again consumer groups don’t produce any energy. Policy should be left to those who know best, the producers.
And, I know a goodly number of you don't think the public should have input to policy. I think they should, but that makes me a pretty left-wing radical.
On my limited behalf, the words "government of the people, for the people, and by the people" come to mind. Can't seem to shake 'em the way the government can.
Cognitive dissonance: I can't believe the government of the US doesn't give a rip about what average people (people, with bodies, minds, hearts, souls, lungs and livers) think. I can believe the government wouldn't care about schmoos like me, but there's some smarter, better informed schmoos who don't produce energy and who do care about energy policy. And I don't see evidence of the Bushies giving a rip about the public. And I can't believe it. Oh, my!!!
My mind just keeps getting boggled, and like the old TV ad used to ask, “What’s a mother to do??”
