Now there's a newsflash! I was not aware that opposing the murder of women contradicted conservative Republican Party positions.
If you listen to some Democrats, you would think that it did. Phil's defensiveness is overkill, but understandable.
Otherwise I agree--I don't think anything political can be made of the indictment of a murderer--it is on Ashcroft's job description after all.
