Iraq was trying to develop atomic bombs when Israel blew their nuclear program off the map. Proven fact.

They were again trying to develop atomic bombs ("...the Vienna, Austria-based agency said in 1998 that Iraq had been six to 24 months away from such capability before the 1991 Persian Gulf War and the U.N.-monitored weapons inspections that followed.") just before the Gulf War.

Can you think of any reason they would have given up on this? Doesn't it seem logical that they are still trying to build atomic bombs? Are they ordering bomb production materials for no reason?

And in case anyone has forgotten, we do know that Saddam is working on chemical and biological weapons.

The Democratic Party and the media want nothing more than to see George Bush's political career with about a dozen sucking gut wounds, and the constant barrage on Iraq has this as its primary motivation. Just something to keep in mind.
