I may be wrong asbout this, but I don't think there was much anti-semitism in Palestine before the massive influx of Jews fleeing persecution in Europe in the years immediately around 1900 and following. If I remember, there was a fair degree of tolerance of faiths -
several Christain flavors, as well as the Moslem flavors.

For some strange reason, it is generally not known today in the US that there are many Palestinian Christians, even today.
