Thanks for the Gratuitous Ayn Rand quote. The 95% figure is my own - an extrapolation from statistics from the department of justice on prison populations and race and applying polling data to those same populations.

Unfortunately (actually fortunately), since felons have no right to vote, there are almost no statistics given on their previous or current political affiliations.

Yet many democrats realize my 95% figure is probably on or very near the mark and are furiously doing their best to see criminals (killers, rapists & child-molesters) voting for democrats Oh they are so oppressed! Oh they are all victims!

Why are there no readily available polls or data kept public regarding these things? Well, because folks like you or I could point out to them as da-ning evidence against the principles and beliefs of the democratic party - and what they do to people's mind and outlook.

Look at Mary Anne's outrage at my use of statistics below. "Name calling" she calls it. Yet, when the left try and cast all white male corrupt corporate executives as GOP evildoers thats A-OK!

Hypocrisy? Oh no! Just the facts!

Yes, the one class of criminal which is likely to have an equal or higher percentage of white, male, republicans is embezzlement and white collar (corporate) crime.

So the left has grabbed on this issue with ferocity. Evil Enron, Global Crossing, Qwest, MCI-Worldcom - all the work of those evil monster republicans!

Yes, when one peers closer one sees that lots of fat cat white male democrats were in on the action too - but no matter. The public has been conditioned by the media to perceive that evil Cheney and his republican "energy advisors" were all working in cahoots to shaft the poor hardworking democrat.

No racial association is permissable and simply relating the facts by the left, while a mortal sin of uncomparable magnitude when done by the right.

Sure, we could hire Zogby or others to conduct a poll of some violent offense prisoners and see what the results would be...

...however, the results might prove to be embarassing to some folks here.
