McAuliffe might be strengthened by the defeat
I was hearing the Democratic pundits saying that last night's result were a slap against the moderate Democrats like Lieberman.
They may be right in the sense that the moderate Democrats don't motivate the Democratic base to go to the polls: Apparently, only fire breathing leftists do that.
If the Democrats listen to the pundits and I think they will, I wouldn't be suprised to see the Democrats shift even further to the left.
Dashel's obstructionism will take on a whole new form... For example look for a lot of Fillibusteres an more scare the elderly tactics...
