Not at all.
The Republicans have called the Democrats corrupt, greedy and cowardly. They have implied by comparison that they are pristine, generous and courageous. They will have to measure up to their own yardstick.
The same strategies elected Clinton & Co.
These are the war-cries of election, nothing more. It's the heat of the moment, the thrust of battle, the pitch of the blade. All will soon be forgotten -- possibly even next Tuesday. Including the obviously underhanded tactics of the DNC -- where I saw your “pristine, generous and courageous” comparisons spring from their own lips, and congeal in a quagmire around their ankles. Petards seemed to come cheaply for the DNC this round. But, as I said, all will likely be ignored -- until the next vote.
If they (all politicians) are to be judged by this ridiculous yardstick each carries slung to his/her hip like a well-used slipstick, I say the courts will soon be overrun with impeachment battles at all levels of government.
What I see is merely another day in the muck and mire of D.C.,
Dan
