<I can't prove bin Laden is dead. My assumption that he is is based solely on logic and common sense.

Bin Laden wouldn't be the first commander to transfer his flag away from a sinking flagship. That it hasn't been raised again proves nothing either way.

Maybe he's dead, and his accomplices are attempting to conceal it.

Maybe he's alive and trying to plan the destruction of the world in peace.

Maybe he's gravely injured (we all know already that he was chronically ill) and is conducting his business from a concealed medical facility. That lack of mobility would not be a good thing to advertise. One can assume that those in his organization who need to know he is alive, if he is, already know.

The public will believe what it wants, regardless. When you consider how many people in the region believe the lie that 2,000 Jews didn't go to work at the WTC on the morning of the attacks, in spite of the fact that this would mean that most of the people who worked at the WTC were Jewish, it's not too much of a stretch to say that they would believe bin Laden was alive even if his head were mounted on a pike in Mecca.
