"Urge." That sounds a bit more palatable than "force," but how would you "urge" them? I can just imagine.
Again, your assumption is that the consumer has no choices, and that we are helpless pawns in the hands of Darth Ronald the Clown of Evil. Is a liberal even capable of thinking other than paternalistically?
I control what my kids eat. Eventually, they'll make their own choices. And yes, I let them eat at McDonalds about once a week.
Where are the parents of these children who are suing McDonalds? I can't speak for other parents, although you talk like twelve-year-olds are routinely sneaking up to the drivethru when their parents aren't looking.
This whole thing is another ginned-up pile of bullshit by the trial attorneys. You know it, I know it, and everyone reading the story knows it. The sooner judges start fining these legal assholes for even bringing this stuff into the courtroom, the better.
