I totally agree
Republicans need to show some backbone, integrity, and sensitivity, and strongly condemn Trent Lott's foolish statements. They should be talking about the positive acheivements and successful conservative philosophy of people like Colin Powell and Condi Rice to court minority voters, not making stupid statements about a shameful Dixiecrat campaign to maintain white supremacy in the South a half century ago. As Kristol said, that's not the party of Lincoln.
