Re: Mr. Libertarian

Regarding paragraph #1, yes, and yes. The right to grant a state license to serve alcoholic beverages for sale on the premises would be another issue, although Billy Boo-, er, Bob could give away as much beer as he wanted. Any discussion of beating up or otherwise criminally harming black people would come under the heading of "criminal conspiracy", and might result in the gallery being seized as material evidence should the police obtain credible evidence that such a discussion took place. For a recent ACLU position on the Klan, please visit http://www.aclu.org/FreeSpeech/FreeSpeech.cfm?ID=10296&c=86&Type=s.

Regarding paragraph #2, I can see similar materials displayed for sale at gun shows, which are heavily regulated, and I've had requests to help patrons with searches for similar materials on the internet which my professional code of ethics and state law require me to do while protecting their identities, so the answer would again be yes. Any criminal act undertaken is a criminal act in and of itself. I'm not allowed to talk about any individual's search or borrowing habits unless someone serves me with a sub poena as part of a criminal investigation.

Free speech is free speech is free speech. Amen. Period. End.
