<How come he was an ally 20 years ago? At that time, he already was a ruthless dictator, killing his opposition.
Stalin was once a U.S. ally, too, to fight what we thought was a worse enemy. The government of France was once allied with Adolph Hitler. What's your point? We are dealing with what is happening now.
When America entered WWII, Hitler had not attacked America. Should we have just taken out Japan and gone home? Where would YOU be if we had stayed out of Europe? Think long and hard on that.
If the U.S. pulled out of the Mideast entirely and abandoned Israel, you tell ME where the Mideast would be in fifteen years.
Are you sufficiently confident that the inevitable carnage in the Mideast would never reach Europe? That without the U.S. "rocking the boat", terrorism would "just go away?"
Have you really thought out the alternatives?
