Can't prove it without a search engine here, and I could be wrong, but I believe I was the one who first posted the RAWA link, and I am also on record here as approving the NOW position on treatment of women in Afghanistan, which preceded 9-11 by a good deal.
I will be the first to admit that damn few people anywhere in the U.S. knew or cared what the Taliban were doing (including me) except for a few times when they surfaced in the news, like when they destroyed the Bamian Buddha statues. Had they just settled down in their little tyranny instead of stabbing America in the eye, they would be there yet.
