People worried about the effects that a war will have on a hapless civilian population, and people who are concerned that the march to the battlefield has been too hasty are not enablers.
People who spent years supporting Saddam, arming Saddam, helping Saddam build his infrastructure because he was better than the Iranian ayatollahs might better be considered his enablers. That's where he got where he is.
It's like the father of an alcoholic who constantly bought him beer and ten years later kicked him out of the house for drinking, then rages at his sister for going to prayer services and asking for people to pray for her brother. Whose behavior is really at the root of the problem?
