<Don't you ever get tired of being such an [anus]? Doesn't Seven-of-Tech ever do you the favor of telling you what an [anus] you're being?
It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it:
You're being an [anus].
You owe the community an apology.

Holy Tomoly! No wonder I am so retentive! This puts a whole new light on things!
"I Thank all of you for your letters and messages of support I read within the Habitable Zone..."
Is that really so offensive? If Saddam is no threat to America and not a real danger, as the antiwar protesters claim - isn't it really inoffensive?
For if Saddam is really not so bad and merely the victim of a US grab for oil as Prince Charles and many other antiwar folks think - then do you not think Saddam would prefer to find people who oppose an invasion of his country, and his being deposed by the US?
Don't you think Saddam would love for the world to have the anti-US stance of Gerhard Schroeder?
Yes, the truth of the matter is some find this post offensive because it reveals, in a comical way, a painful truth - namely that the antiwar folks are playing right into Saddam's decade long divide and conquer routine at the UN.
I apologize to those in the community who are offended by the post. I think its pretty clear I am not here trying to hurt posters' feelings, but rather to express viewpoints in a way that will make people think.
That said, I think the post serves as a Rorshach test of sorts and reveals more about the posters who are so quick to find this post offensive and not the endless posts about Bush being some megalomaniacal mass-murderer hell-bent upon killing innocent Iraqis for a few gallons of crude, while turning the US into the Fourth Reich.
When we are portrayed as "eager" to see Iraqi bodybags and blood and guts in some sort of unjust war - do you think we are not offended?
Why is it inoffensive to portray myself, Tom, Scott, McFly, Matt, Larry, Ed, Dan, Richard, Robert, RobVG et al. - as wanna-be babykillers, dupes of a "brownshirt" government whose compassion is lacking, and whom are "neanderthal" in their outlook?
Yes, offensive posts are a two-way street.
Perhaps, it is assumed that as wanna-be babykillers and children-starvers, our hearts are pure obsidian and impervious to offense?
Yes, we are SO dense, the endless oblique personal criticism in posts from the left goes unnoticed and leaves us unfazed.
