Look, Tom!
I don't know diddly about combat,
having never experienced it myself.
Have you?
[sigh!]
I didn't imply that if you're for the coming war, that you should shut up about it.
You Americans have your I'st Ammendment rights to say damn well as you please.
And even if I [hypothetically] were to tell the so-called "war mongers" to shut-up they won't listen anyways, right, Tom?
I'm not saying you are a war-monger, Tom. Got that?
If I said something that got under your skin, well...sorry...but too bad.
I have as much right to say what I have to say as you have! [a little annoyed]
And what I posted was a personnal neutral observation; not an argument pro or con against this coming war.
I'll repeat my observation, with an explicit explanation, to correct your false impression of my previous post.
My observation was: those MOST EAGER
for this coming war are those who have
never fought a war, or experienced
the horrors or terrors of war.
I confess that I was a little too EAGER
to see this coming war myself...But,
after having talked to and listened to vets who've actually experienced conflict [I'll name a name I know personally: Sgt.Major Mike Olsen of the US Army (ret), a Vietnam War vet],
I'm now considerably LESS EAGER to see
this coming war.
Next time you read my posts, Tom, please don't take my posts out of context.
cheers.
Jacob
