This is my belief, and if these are the posts which corrupt other posters, I am indeed a mischievous person.

Is it not rather like a god, Davin, we who come to HZ in the disguise of strangers? For Homer says that all the gods, and especially the god of strangers, are companions of the meek and just, and visit the good and evil among men. And may not we or our companions be some of these higher powers, cross-examining deities, who have come to spy out our weakness in argument, and to cross-examine us our beliefs here on these boards?

Nay, we are men and yet that spark of divinity lurks within us, for all philosophers are, in truth, divine.

Ah, but I must get back to the marketplace...to pay 20 drachma for some new dress for Xanthippe or I shall find myself refreshed by cold water yet again.
