Don't hold back Robert...tell us what you really feel.

LOL!

;-)

I think we'll have to agree to disagree. I see the Blix charade as a comical farce in which members from Blixs team call up Iraqi agents in advance of their visits whenever possible and they clean up ahead of time. I see Blix as a highly paid buffoon who buries significant findings because he let's his personal ego get in the way of doing his job and his job is over as soon as he would confess that the Iraqis are NOT disarming, nor has Saddam any INTENT to DISARM no MATTER HOW MANY RESOLUTIONS, INSPECTIONS and TOKEN DESTRUCTIONS he abides to!

The anti-war protesters are naive at best, willfully in total denial at worst.

The protesters are largely liberal democrats in composition, they were just recently handed their behinds carved up and served with Hollandaise sauce in November and bear untold animosity towards this President.

NONE of them are protesting the WARS in Sudan and Chechnya? WHY? Oh, you have offered that it is not your government involved and so it doesn't concern you. That's the biggest cop-out this side of a Dunkin Donuts!

If one TRULY holds to anti-war beliefs, ALL wars must be an anathema not just some!

If one TRULY holds to anti-war beliefs, ALL lives are priceless and worthy of saving not just Iraqis!

That's why I hold these so-called "anti-war" protesters in such LOW regard. They have undermined their entire moral position and demonstrate they are frauds intent only upon demonizing the Bush administration in the US and demonizing the US around the world.

Selective morality is not morality at all.

I am quite certain I detest wars far more than the majority of protesters, that I have seen more images of death and suffering than I would care to recall, and that I do not apply this morality selectively. Yes, Mary Anne might say, well why are we dealing with Turkey and Saudi Arabia when they are nearly as bad as Saddam in human rights violations?

The answer is quite simple. The Bush administration is pursuing a clear doctrine for those willing to see it objectively. They have targeted those nations as an axis of evil which are actively working on programs of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Iraq, Iran and North Korea were listed most prominently in the intelligence reports that Bush was briefed with by various intelligence agencies.

Bush's axis of evil was not drawn from his imagination, or by nations whom his "daddy" had a grudge against, but by the FACTS - facts which were incontrovertible.

If the world is filled with various shades of grey, it MAKES SENSE to go after the ones nearest to BLACK to make the BIGGEST DIFFERENCE.

At the same time, America can not afford to look down its nose at the neighboring nations and their dirtiness when trying to get the ringleaders.

A good analogy would be a den of criminals, some being pickpockets, others money-launderers, yet other dealers in drugs and illicit goods and lastly murderers. To capture the murderers sometimes it is easiest to deal with the money-launderers and pickpockets - even offering them money or freedom from prosecution for their assistance.

The finacial and other aid we have given to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and Turkey are best viewed with this in mind.

It is not as Mary Anne might suggest, HYPOCRISY but rather EXPEDIENCY. And again it is not the number of lives nations have killed or their human rights record - but a combination of this with the WMD litmus test which will get the nation into hot water first with the US.

This is a logical approach to global security - protecting the masses first. Bush did not conceive of this philosophy and approach but I am sure he wholeheartedly believes in its validity.
All of the media pundits who say they see no logic in Bush's approach to foreign diplomacy and global security are completely blind or more often willfully blind to the striking logic and wisdom that it truly has embodied.

As soon as as I see anti-war protesters showing real anti-war convictions and illustrating they really care equally about ALL humanity and protesting all the wars in the world which have been ignored for years by these nouveau protesters, I will discount their views as IMMORAL, HYPOCRITICAL and that their protests are COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE to the goals of saving lives and bringing about global peace.
