Senate votes to slash tax cuts in half
Much joy at the DNC, since this will help insure that the economy is in the crapper at the end of 2004, which, of course, is the whole idea.
One would like to think that the extra money flowing into the Treasury out of the pockets of the productive private sector will go to good use instead of down rat holes, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Watching Byrd, unchallenged Lord of Pork, pontificate over how this war may cost too much is a hoot. God knows he doesn't seem to worry about all the "Byrd Highways" in his home state costing "too much."
Waiting to see who voted for what. There are certainly a few nervous Republicans at fault here.
