willful tunnel vision
As usual when you go tearing off on the subject of tax cuts, you ignore the effects of government deficits on the economy. Those deficits don't exist in a vacuum. The government borrows to fund operations (most of which aren't discretionary, and a lot of the rest can't be touched for political reasons...for example, Bush's $75billion war downpayment), and competes with the private sector for capital. Interest rates are driven up, investment is discouraged--a perverse but very real manifestation of the "trickle-down" effect.
