in the same boat

Marcia,

I, like many others here, am in that same boat. Taxes weigh heavily on the pocketbook. Even worse is the cost of insurance. After my second baby was born in January my insurance payments (not including what my firm pays on me) for my wife and 2 kids are almost $500 per month. My wife had to take on a part-time employment just so we can pay all our bills. Luckily for us our 2 cars are paid for, but then they were built in 1990 and 1993, so they should be.

My wife's new employment is one where she can take the kids with her, so luckily we didn't have to add daycare to the list of bills.

I am as much for tax cuts as anybody. This economy sucks and the gains from a taxcut would be helpful. I just don't think driving deficit spending further into the red is very smart right now.

I am 100% for reduced spending. Mine has been reduced because of the economy, why not my government's?

Cheers,

Steve G.
