While there may be noise about all US citizens receiving adequate health care, conservatives don't have to worry. It ain't gonna happen.
When the country's priorities are a tax cut for the wealthy, unlimited funds for illegal aggression in the Middle East, new engines and transmissions for virtually every vehicle in the US military, more aid for Israel, an even larger military after the "war", there's no money.
A big loss in this situation is over the good that could have been done. No money for, for instance, a manned mission to Mars. Could have happened for what Iraq is costing.
Maybe even a replacement for the Shuttle. Or at least a few Soyuz.
No money for prescription drug benefits for the elderly.
No money for much of anything.
And the economy is heading into the tank even farther.
It's going to be very difficult for the next Democratic administration to get out of the hole this Bush is digging. It took some years to get out of the one the last Bush and Reagan dug.
And what, 1 year to start digging again.
But relax, and sleep well. The bucks are being spent on bullets, not people.
