But very often doing nothing is evil, like when we disregarded the plight of the jews in germany....

IF a regime is evil and tortures its citizens is it right to disthrone the dictators? Yes or no?

If in the process we hurt and kill as many innocents in months as the regime does in days does that make us evil?

If we save hundreds of thousands at the costs of hundreds is that ok? If we try to defend thousands running to be saved by us and kill a few monsters gunning them down for running is that ok?

If we make a tactical delay in order to accomplish this with minimum loss of life is that a boondoggle? I mean really buck.... I HATE war....I have to force myself to watch the news...CNN every hour has "another round of bombing in Bagdad" They might as well have a permanent banner saying "yeah still going on".....

I have MANY criticisms of the current "elected" administration, but in my opinion those of you that find fault no matter what they do are no better than the Rush ditto heads.....

Extremists only make their cause look bad and silly....

Think about what you say.... You honestly seem to get glee out of our failures... If you just disagree with the US stance say so... I personally think this could have all been avoided had we twisted a few more wrists <and other parts> in europe and elsewhere.... yeah our allies might be sore then but people might not be dying now-

But now we are in it, and we have no choice but to finish it, I was not personally attacking you really, I was just saying that sometimes it is ok to call a regime unequivocally evil.... And to advocate its destruction... do you HONESTLY believe saddam would win 100% of the vote in a free election even though he was the only candidate?

Personally I think this is the result of the failure of every country that could have done something....Instead it became a pissing match <something that happens too often in politics>

In part I agree with you, this could have been done better, but asinine attacks on personal character will prove little....

The facts are:

1) the regime is evil

2) The people will be better off without it

3) the world will be better off without it...

4) WE ARE morally better than the regime... And here morality has not one damn thing to do with religion it has to do with justice...

5) We will NOT oppress the people there

6) We tend to fight to make people free in the past 200 years, and yes I will grant there are notable exceptions, but look at what our just wars have led to....

I will agree war should be avoided at all cost, except that of hundreds of thousands of innocent lives....
