The only reason it "makes sense" to pause now is because it's obvious the Bush/Rumsfeld plan for "simultaneity" failed. Now we have troops dying in a war of attrition while waiting for reinforcements that should have been there to begin with. Care to take any bets on whether this 4-6 day pause goes 2-4 weeks longer than that?

I know I've been pounding away at this point quite a bit but I really feel it needs to be said. I feel confident our forces will prevail in the end but I am just extremely pissed off we didn't go into this prepared for any contingency like we did in the last Gulf War. The blame can be placed squarely on Rumsfeld and Bush. Rumsfeld should lose his job after the war at the latest and Bush the same in 2004.
