I'd like to see us keep our promises.

Unfortunately we couldn't leave if we wanted too. We won't be able to leave until Iraqi can defend itself.

Did you notice that we made a point to destroy every tank, artillery piece, helicopter etc. we came across? I think the only thing we spared this time were the fighter planes.

Although it may not have been practical to simply disable the equipment it was possible.

One of the reasons we didn't finish the job in Gulf 1 is we didn't want to weaken Iraq to the point it made a tempting target for Iran.

Now we have to stay until a new military can be built for Iraq and at no point soon will this be a high priority.
