The average American improves himself and becomes a contract laborer in Riyadh. maybe he's a cable-puller trying to improve AT&T connects in a foreign land, or a satty groundstation tech, raking in nearly 6 figures because he keeps his nose clean and is able to fanagle an overseas, unaccompanied tour. Maybe he's with Vinnell Corporation and works to improve the Saudi military and civilian officials, which would assist in our getting out of certain regions of the Middle East, such as holier than holy Saudi Arabia.
There is no way you can sit there an make me believe there is a preference on which American die and which do not, or about where the best place is for this to occur. That the al-Qai'da attack occurred overseas says nothing regarding their potential, since the only successful mission on US soil was September 11th, 2001.
This does not show their base of operations doing anything other than functioning. They are Middle East-based, so a Middle East strike is expected.
And it doesn't matter where they are, only that they all be annihilated. Won't happen, of course. Deals will be cut for information and many of the higher-ups will get away with mass-murder, but they will be dealt with.
The "average American", Scott, can be found in every nation on the globe, and in nearly every city. he is a target for drive-by shootings, for rape and mutilation, and for group bombings. He is no different from the "average American" you might pass on the street of any American city, except that he gets a little more money for his hardships, and happens to be supporting his company -- and you -- overseas.
