REB,
There are over a billion Moslems in the world today. If just one in every thousand is motivated by religious fervor to commit an act of violence against the west, that still leaves us with over a million terrorists to contend with.
The idea that toppling Iraq is going to pre-empt these acts of terror is just plain naive and simple-minded. You have been sold a bill of goods, to your peril. Keep in mind on whose watch it was that 9-11 occurred. I am not comforted at all that Mr. Bush has made life any more safe and secure for American citizens.
As Iraq devolves into a muddle, punctuated by little acts of terror that leaves American lives in their wake, others will be emboldened to carry out simlar acts elsewhere. Count on it. All one need witness is how little good Israeli military force has been to stop the parade of suicide bombers that threaten their safety and security. Each act and reaction leads to another in an endless cycle. We have now become a full partner in the circle game.
