My predictions for Beagle are:
1) It will find organic molecules that the Viking GCMS did not.
2) It will not find any photochemically produced oxidants such as H2O2 or superoxides. It may however find maganese and iron oxidizing microbes.
3) It will show us that NASA for over 27 years gave us the wrong colors of Mars. Unlike the former NASA spacecraft landers and orbiters, Mars Express and Beagle 2 have true color reproduction capabilities. It will be up to the thinking individual to ask why the NASA spacecraft did not have thie ability.
As far as conspiracy goes? How about plain ol scientific stupidity? How embarrasing it will be if the British confirm life and organic molecules and no oxidants? Who will have egg on thier face then?
The problem will be to sort out who discovered life first, Dr. Levin and Straat or Beagle 2.
