The origin of the blue/green areas on Mars rocks is still unexplained ...

Sure sure, If you totally ignore how the MPF camera makes color images.

Besides, the need for people looking at the color of rocks on Mars to simplify it to their favorite mechanism is the biggest obstruction to actually learning anything about what it tells us.

Color of rocks is more than just mineralogical.
