But try as I might, I just can't compete with "watery Mars"

"Is it true that you are on a NASA security watch list?"

It's true that I have reluctantly come to the opinion that Morrison is dangerously incompetent - whether Weiler will go down with him is still an open question.

Of course, since the bulk of the House Space Science Sub-Commitee has come to the same conclusion, I feel that I am in good company.

Since that is so, I suppose that if I find I am on any "security watch list", I'll have to take a few minutes to mention it to them - or have someone else do it for me....

"I do know that many of the scientists in the "impact community" have you in the permanent email filters and killfiles."

Who exactly are these folks you claim to know in the impact community, and exactly how "many" of them are there?

700 impact specialists participate in the Conference, and if things had been as bad as you claim, then my deficiencies would have been readily apparent. But the reality is quite different, and none of that happened...

If you're looking to curry Morrison's favor by attacking me, in hopes of getting more "watery Mars" money from him, allow me to share the news: those days are over. That's the job of a good journalist: sharing the news.

"I also understand that some on the Cambridge Conference have taken to passing around some of your more kooky emails as a sort of online entertainment."

Hard to say what's mine, and what is being attributed to me... If it's mine, then I'm glad people are reading it.
