I don't know. Do you know of any perfect governments on earth?

C'mon, be serious. Do you really think there's any chance at all that the new Iraqi government could possibly be LESS responsible than that of Saddam Hussein????

I would certainly think that even the most ardent opponents of the Iraq war would willingly concede that the new Iraqi gov't will be more broad-based, representative, and responsible in its actions. Hell, they may not even gas anybody. But I'm willing to admit that that's not the real argument here. Of course the new Iraqi gov't will be more responsible. That's a given.

However, the real question is do the ends justify the means, and did Saddam pose a big enough threat to his own people, and to regional and US security concerns, to justify the action?

In my view the answer is "yes" but I understand and appreciate the arguments of those who are still convinced that the answer is "no".
