Odd...I find a considerable number of references to Pacepa on Google, including articles written for papers like the Wall Street Journal. He was, in fact, Acting Chief of Romania's Espionage Service and State Secretary in Romania's Ministry of Interior, defecting to the U.S. in 1978.
That doesn't make everything he says true, of course, but he is not a made-up person.
