BAGHDAD, Iraq, Aug. 21 — One U.S. soldier was killed and two wounded by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad late on Wednesday night, the U.S. military said on Thursday. Meanwhile, the hunt for Saddam Hussein continued with a raid early Thursday on a farmhouse in the northern town of Abbarah, where an informant told U.S. forces the ousted dictator was hiding.
And yet, not a single weapon of mass destruction has been found in Iraq. Not a single one.
