TOM: "Like I said, it's just one source, and it's a plausible scenario."
MY REPLY: No its not. There's nothing remotely plausible about it.
TOM: "What's funny is that if this same guy had written that he had personal knowledge that Saddam had destroyed all his weapons in 1999, you would have latched onto it as gospel, same as with all those other "unnamed sources," Iraqi defectors, and others that are liars if they don't fit your agenda, and speakers of gospel if they do."
MY REPLY: Well first of all the author of this little gem isn't asserting he has personal knowledge of anything Saddam did or din't do. His remarks are incredible hearsay at best: "Nicolae Ceausescu told me so, and he heard it from Leonid Brezhnev." Yeah right. Can I sell you an Iraqi nuclear weapons factory, Tom?
As for what I would "latch onto," I needn't even try. The simple fact is we haven't found any weapons of mass destruction. Since you, along with the other neocons are making the claim that Iraq actually had these things at the time the war drums were beating perhaps you can provide the definitive evidence that proves your case. If you could, you'd be doing far better than the Bush administration has to date.
