but we still only imprisoned the Japanese. There were no Chinese, Koreans, or Filipinos in those camps. A friend of mine was interned in one of those camps. He was all of 2 years old at the time and an American citizen. What kind of country puts 2 year olds (and younger) into prison camps?
I've read that a some Italian-Americans and German-Americans were also imprisoned during WWII but it was only a tiny percentage, especially when compared to the Japanese.
Any truthful reading of American history must look at all sides, warts and all. I have no patience with the "Blame America First" crowd who see nothing but "complete disaster" in everything we do or don't do. To me, they're as tiresome as the species self-hating crowd that thinks the world would be such a better place if all the people (except them, of course) were gone.
Nor do I have any patience for the "My country right or wrong" crowd. As someone once said, "Saying 'My country right or wrong' is like saying 'My mother drunk or sober.'" Where wrong, we need to work to make it right. Where good, we need to work to make it better. But where right, we need to acknowledge it and defend it from attack.

Back then, most people couldn't tell a Korean or a Chinese from a Japanese
