On yours, invading Iraq was caused by 9/11. Terrorism can only be answered by war even if it means towards a country unrelated to 9/11.
9/11 justifies and excuses everything.
On mine, invading Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 but everything to do with taking advantage of a general changed behavior and resurgence of patriotism. Also, with ideologues presently at the White House.
Fighting terrorism by declaring war to a country that wasn't directly involved with it reminds us of the former colonial empires, something we thought belonged to the past.
