Al Quaida and the Taliban had to be wiped out. Period. Invading Iraq may also have been justified since they were financing terrorist bombings in Israel. Let's face it, Israel is the flashpoint of all middle-eastern terrorism. It may be practical to solve their problems for them. Build the fence, and keep them apart forever. It would have been far cheaper to simply roll 500,000 troops into Israel and finish building their security fence for them, rather invade any more countries and invite more terrorist attacks.
