I had a favorite amber one too made by AMDEK if I recall correctly - and I'll confess to using that thing all the way to 1989 as a reliable easy reader in my home office. I probably still have it in storage somewhere and it probably still works! I'll be darned at how good they were at making them last back then - and how many different shades of amber they could pull out of the screen. Now, if only they could bring the simplicity and manageable size of the early windows back, my several gigahertz machine wouldn't run as sssss...slow as my old 900mhz one!

Ahhh... the good ol' days of Compuserve, when the prospect of going on the "inter-net" to access news, stock reports or to buy airplane tickets was exciting in and of itself.
