Tom was referring to the partisans of the Democrats and "leftists" not the mainstream opposition on this board.
Isn't it hard to deny that much of the Dem rethoric is demagogery when a prominent dem like Kennedy makes a falacious statement accusing the President of bribery and the empty suit General Clark makes conflicting statements on sucessive days and says he would have been a Republican if Rove had returned his call.
When Tom or any other Republican points out shrill demonization and lies by spokespersons for the dems, it is hardly ad hominem against the liberals on this board who disagree with Bush policy but do not buy into the lack of civility
