It depends on a lot of things

Back in the days when my wife was a nurse's aid and going to nursing school, she worked per diem at a lot of places in the Colorado Springs area. There were some facilities that were fairly reasonably priced while others cost $4000 a month for an apartment in an upscale assisted living facility (and this was in 1987). Prices vary considerably from institution to institution (e.g. public/state owned verses private/religious verses for profit). There's also the question of who much she's getting in disability payments from SSI.

My quadraplegic friend with MS that I mentioned above is rated as 200% disabled (how does THAT happen?) and, according to his wife, draws $8000 a month tax free in disability payments. He is a retired enlisted man who spent 23 years in the Army, so that may make a difference. Point is, she undoubtedly qualifies for some form of disability payment under Social Security to supplement the $750,000 settlement.
