The husband is well within his rights to seek a divorce and relinquish care to the parents. If his position is correct they will soon see the light when the bills start rolling in for her "rehabilitation".

If the parents refuse to accept the financial responsibility, (assuming the trust fund is exhausted), the husband should make the decision.
