Is that it will all be true:
He did have some banned programs and actual weapons, that he did destroy a bunch of stuff from time to time as pressure was applied, that corrupt and scared underlings did lie about progress on his dream weapons and that we did choose to be very conservative and act on our worst fears. This will be seen in history as more evidence justifying deeming saddam one of the stupidest and most self-destructive tyrants of history.
The net effect of the war will be to allow Iraqis to build a civil society in their country for the first time in its existance, to rid the region of one of the most aggregious tyrants and to stailiaze the region.
Whether we misjudged or even deliberately overstated over many years the level of WMDs he did or did not actually have will be considered a minor footnote in this war's history. All wars start for reasons unclear, if you look hard enough. All wars are filled with misread signals and poorly conceived and executed plans. That some here and now focus on the probable ones of this war is a nonstarter.
We were justified in what we did. And we have won and will get to write the history accordingly.
